Cisco switch 3560. Заставляем работать неподдерживаемые SFP модули.

Попал в руки коммутатор со сменными модулями TwinGig converter module CVR-X2-SFP V02 .

В наличии были оптические модули MaxLink , при попытке вставить модуль, в лог шло следуюшее сообщение:

%pLATFORM-6-MODULE_INSERTED: TwinGig Converter module inserted in slot 2 %GBIC_SECURITY_CrYPT-4-VN_DATA_CRCERROR: GBIC in port Gi0/52 has bad crc %PHY-4-UNSUPPORTED_TRANSCEIVER: Unsupported Transceiver found in Gi0/52

Решение.

# service unsupported-transceiver

Warning: When Cisco determines that a fault or defect can be traced to the use of third-party transceivers installed by a customer or reseller, then, at Cisco's discretion, Cisco may withhold support under warranty or a Cisco support program. In the course of providing support for a Cisco networking product Cisco may require that the end user install Cisco transceivers if Cisco determines that removing third-party parts will assist Cisco in diagnosing the cause of a support issue.

Собственно получили предупреждение о всех вытекающих последствиях, в том числе и гарантии.

Не протестировал до конца, вроде бы хватает только первой, но на всякий случай добавил вторую, предотвратить переход интерфейса в режим Err-Disabled.
